HYPNOSIS ANYONE?

I remember a couple of years ago I attended a work Christmas party, with my good friend Rob. While we were there they had a hypnotist come and amaze the audience. Now at that time, I wasn't sure if I could be hypnotized or not, but while the show was going on I kept falling into a deep sleep at the dinner table, followed by a nudge from my date. I found out right there and then that I get hypnotized very easy.

I have met quite a few people who are a little scared of hypnosis, or think it's strange, or against religious beliefs--I have no problem with this, but before you jump to conclusions, I want to share why I love hypnosis.

Back in December I started my hypnosis journey, and now I am addicted. I started with a simple search on YouTube and typed in "hypnosis for weight loss"--I plugged in my ear buds to my computer, laid on my bed, and went into complete bliss. I am proud to say that since December I have lost 15 pounds, and it's 100% due to hypnosis. I usually do the hypnosis programs once a day, and my favorite was a site called www.hypnobusters.com They help with anything from weight loss, nail biting, depression, fear of spiders, and anxiety. Also the guy on hypnobusters has a calming accent--maybe Irish--not sure.

The hypnosis I have been using is filled with powerful positive messages, and I figure we have enough people out there telling us how horrible we are, that it's about time we start loving ourselves and hearing only positive things.

Anyhow I would suggest hypnosis to anyone. I swear it's completely safe in your own home, and it's my favorite meditation/relaxation method. Happy Trails!

The Healing Power of Water

The human body is made up of over 75% of water, and some of our bodies tissues are made up of over 95% of water. So today you guessed it you are going to hear about how to comfort your body using what it loves most--water.

Now I don't know about most of you, but I live in a world of stress. My day starts early in the morning, I work a 40 hour work week, followed by daily guitar students, full time school, band, gym, family, and it usually ends with a late night with my best friend and love of my life Henri. Now even though I am stretched out thin, I really feel I am usually on my A game--and today I want to share my secret--WATER! I want to share my health secrets that involve this five letter word (five is my lucky number). Now I am going to give you all very strange advice, but I want you to try it at your own risk, and tell me if it has helped you at all.

Okay here is my advice:

At least once a day take a 20 second to 10 minute cold shower. Now you may think this sounds odd, but I want to tell you why it works.

taking cold showers helps with the following:

  1. Improves circulation
  2. Helps with depression- has anti-depressant effect on mood
  3. Keeps skin and hair healthy
  4. Strengthens immunity system
  5. Increases fertility
  6. Increases energy and well being
  7. Cleanses mind and body from negative emotions that are yours, or you have picked up from others.
  8. Anti-aging secret to keep skin tight, elastic, and vibrant
  9. Wakes you up in the morning
  10. You will save money on your energy bill
  11. Flushes toxins from your skin

So try it out, and report back your experiences.

MY FIRST BUISNESS DINNER!

So I am pleased to announce that I am having my first business dinner ever next Tuesday. I had a custom guitar shop call me this week, wondering if I would be interested in being the sole guitar teacher for their store. They also want me to help them get open mic's started in their store, and to help promote local musicians.
This company makes guitars, so I asked them if they could teach me how to make guitars, and they told me that if I was to join their team, then of course! So if everything works out I might have to make a custom guitar for myself. This company has tons of guitars with their most expensive guitar costing $100,000.00. Anyhow I am excited.
I also got two new guitar students today, so I am excited to share my love of guitars with some more folks!

THE CHRISTMAS STICKS DISGUISED AS A CHRISTMAS TREE

So I have been extremely busy lately. I am drowning in business classes, homework, finals, and work. Henri has also been finishing up his semester in college, but playing the opposite roll of proffessor--and has also been super busy grading papers. Anyhow this is my failed attempt at a Christmas tree. It isn't even a Christmas tree, it's a Pier 1 ceramic vase with a bunch of sticks in it. Anyhow it's kind of like a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, but I even put an angel on top. Merry Christmas everyone!

This is an angel ornament that a cute little deaf girl gave me.

OH CHRISTMAS TREE!

So this weekend Henri and I are planning to decorate a real christmas tree. Thats right folks a 100% real pine tree that we will probably buy at a lot. The question however, is how should we decorate the tree?
Henri really wants red balled ornaments, to remind him of his childhood, and I have this super sassy tree skirt that I got on clearance at Pier 1 a couple of years ago that I have never used. Other than that here are our ideas

Hayley's idea- We should make a napolean tree for Henri (Henri loves Napolean Bonaparte! He's 100 % history).

Henri's idea- We should make a country/bluegrass tree for Hayley (100% cowgirl without the animals, farm, or wranglers).
We might just end up with a tree with red balls, a sting of popcorn, and a cute skirt, but stay tuned for pictures.

SIX GREAT MONTHS--5/23/2010-11/23/2010

I have been dating Henri for exactly six months, and it has been so much fun. He is a history professor, and is probably the smartest guy I know. His family is french, so he has been teaching me a little bit of the language, and I hope to go to France very soon. Anyhow we love playing chess, and we play everytime we see each other, and he always wins. He is amazing pretty much and I am such a lucky girl! Revenge for Mr. Chris!

So last Saturday my teacher announced to the class that single people and people without kids should never blog. Well I decided to prove him wrong, and show all my anonymous readers who leave me comments about investing in stock, why I have reason to blog! Welcome to the fabulous life of Hayley!

So as you can see I love music! I currently am taking saxaphone lessons, and I have been teaching guitar quite a bit. I am still in a bluegrass band, and we have been recording non stop! Here is to the music lovers...my life is dedicated to you! So I recently bought my first pair of skinny jeans, and even though they make me look far from skinny...I love that I can sport all my cute boots with them...oh well here's to embracing your thighs :)!

So Lyndi and I recently went to Disneyland over UVU's spring break, and let me tell you we had a blast. All I can say is my trip boyfriend was Bob Dylan, and Lyndi's was Cat Stevens! :) Lyndi thanks for being so awesome!

So I have had a blast painting my piano cherry red....bold yes, but I adore my new piano! Whats my inspiration...Elton John's cherry red piano!

I got way too much candy for Easter--making me embrace those skinny jean thighs even more!

Rock climbing is quickly turning into my 1st love! When I go I seriously am on cloud 9 for like 3 days! I love the feeling of being able to get through challenges!
This is a really good looking that I have dated quite a bit!

Heber got married! Woo hoo! Notice it takes 2 brothers to lift my thighs!!! Ha ha! I think I am funny!

NOT SO THRIFTY!

So I put a lot of money down on this fabulous condo today! :) I should close before November 1st. Wowzers! I am a little nervous..but oh so excited to decorate!

But this week I did cut my own bangs, went out to dinner and only got an a-la-carte item, found a cheaper auto insurance company, and I have not been talking on the phone because I only have 45 minutes to last me until October 8th...BOO!

So even though I spent a great deal of money today...I am making up for it in other ways! Here's to living life on a budget!

SUPRISE FROM MTN

This week has been kind of a crazy week, because I am making some crazy decisions in my life! I made an offer on a condo this week, and I am getting a steal of a deal! It's 3 minutes from school, and it's something that I believe will be a great investment.

Right now it's such a buyers market, and I am way excited to keep this condo as an investment property. The location is so awesome, and I will qualify for the $8,000 tax credit...woo hoo! Not only that, but interest rates are unreal right now, so it's a fantastic situation.

Anyhow just thought I would share my crazy news! I am signing papers probably today! I am way nervous, but I think in the long run it will be a lot of fun!

BITTERSWEET BLUEGRASS

So I totally took these off Ang's website, but I wanted to show off our little photo shoot. Angela is such a great friend and an amazing photographer. We had a ton of fun!

We are Bittersweet Bluegrass, and pretty much we're the most auspicious all women bluegrass band in Utah. The band has been together for about 3 years, and I have been a member for about 6 months.
Anyhow so if anyone needs a band to play at anything let us know. We love doing ward dinners, family parties, old people functions, sweet 16 parties....pretty much we are here to entertain you! We are working on recording an album, and were starting working on Christmas music with Diane on banjo....he he...band joke! Anyhow send a yeehaw my way if you want to see some great stuff!
